Description
BOAT AND LEISURE SHOW
Dates: Fri 10th, Sat 11th and Sun 12th September
Show Hours: 10am - 5pm daily
September 10-12 will see the return of one of New Zealand's favourite marine scene events, the Tauranga Boat Show at Baypark Stadium.
With the Baypark venues new second Truman Lane entrance leading to a completely new eastside carpark (for over 1000 vehicles) and into a whole new show entrance, it's all going to be brand new at the Tauranga Boat Show this September.
The 3 large Pavilions will feature a hunting & fishing Adventure Pavilion with a new campsite layout and huge choice of spanking new fishing gear. Then next door is the popular Bay Fisher Pavilion, always a top stop with its seminars and new Women's World this year, and then next door to that, to the Education Pavilion, which houses the event's new "centre of learning" and other activities, with some very sweet rewards to those who listen carefully.
There's also the new Great Outdoors Area this year, featuring fun and excitement from some of the regions more active marine and adventure enterprises, along with the 2 new outdoor food & entertainment areas, with some special sounds to help you enjoy your time.
Come & Sail the Show Segway up & down the isleways, enjoy some sexy seafood to try & buy (and cooked right before your very eyes) with more tasty new eats alongside. All this and much more at Baypark Stadium's cool new Adventure Centre this September.
There's also some of the country's top boats on show with everything from glass to aluminium to wood and materials you've never heard of before, with some great ranges of fishing gear from the country's top retailers to dream & scheme about this summer.
And what about THE CHAIR (to try) if you dare. Located at the De Coro Stand and with some great boat show prizes (including the Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard's new Mac Boat/Suzuki driven prize) to give away, a kids corner, a bouncy castle and lots of fun and festivities for the whole family.
We can also finally do our own catering this year, which is another big step forward, and there's even some rather fancy new Loos for the Ladies (and the Lads too of course).
In fact, there's something a bit special cooking for the ladies this year. Check out the central Bay Fisher Pavilion! More details shortly.
This years Boat & Leisure Show will be working very closely with Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard and their huge support of volunteers.
Martin continues "The show is a month earlier this year, to try and create some action in the early spring for the 100 or so exhibits and displays that will be on show. It has been tough out there, and we didn't do one last year, but there's a new Boat Show wave a-building, with better visitor flow systems and better a better venue than before.
He adds "And it's coming together very well already.
"We like to create environments to meet, greet, taste, touch, hear, look at, dance at, smell and feel good at. he adds. "Something that people can enjoy and stay and play see everything at once at the same place, at the same time.
"There's still one or two good exhibitor sites available in the Pavilions with the better outdoor areas filling up fast." he says.
